Less fretting through Mindful Run

Do you want to get healthy and fit, both physically and mentally? Or have you been itching to start running again for a while now? Then Mindful Run might be for you! Mindful Run is a combination of mindfulness, breathing techniques and running.

Exercise trains your body and mind
Mindfulness is consciously bringing attention to the here and now, with an open mind without judgement. That may sound very floaty but it is absolutely not. We have forgotten what it is like to listen to your body, to feel. Mindful Run is a combination of running, yoga and mindfulness. You are introduced to the different facets of running and learn to listen to your body. You become aware of your running posture, your breathing, your focus when running and the strength and energy in your body. You run (or walk) in a way and at a pace that suits you, so that you start enjoying it (again).

Exercise, walking or running will make you feel better again.

For me, this was the motivation to start my own company Loop met Floor and provide Mindful Run training in Beek-Sittard. The emphasis is on (re)gaining pleasure in exercise. I have now been an ambassador of FIT Muscle Care for several years and have also worked as a trainer and career advisor for over 25 years. My slogan is:

Take the first step and everything starts moving! This is also where the connection with FIT Sports Balm is. I always take the balm with me during running sessions. Mindful Run teaches you how to fully enjoy running and the environment, through proper breathing and running in the here and now.

What are the main outcomes of Mindful Run training?
Participants of Mindful Run training courses report feeling calmer in their heads. Think less fretting and fewer headaches. Participants who have been inactive for a long period experience a 'happy moment' after running, it gives them satisfaction again. Every participant experiences the Mindful Run training sessions with pleasure, because they are engaged in a healthy way and can refresh the mind through the body. You discover your body and feel stronger again, experiencing more joie de vivre, a better night's sleep and also having to deal less with gloomy feelings or anxiety. Naturally, all participants speak of improved fitness and often also gain a better figure by influencing their weight control. In short, participants in Mindful Run training sessions feel good about themselves!
