Boxing champion Dennis de Boer

Dennis is a young fighter; he boxes at the highest level in the Netherlands in the youth division and is a current Dutch Youth Boxing Champion and reigning Northern Netherlands Champion.

At the age of 14, I started boxing fanatically; inspired by my father. People call me an intelligent and strategic boxer. I train every day to get the best out of myself. Leading up to a competition, I train 6x a week, so my life consists mainly of school and sports. I want to train fitness, strength, speed and technique as much as possible. My motto is therefore:

Hard work beats talent, if talent doesn't work hard.

As a boxer, taking care of your muscles is extremely important. This is because during boxing, you are constantly moving and not only your upper body is active, but also your lower body gets plenty of training. The sport is all about quick movements, body position, footwork, etc. Therefore, you must always be fit and give your all! The experience and excitement this sport brings; it is wonderful.

When I first got FIT Sports Balm from someone to try it out, I was immediately excited. It worked immediately and my muscles felt great the day after. I can recommend it to every athlete!

Did you know...

Boxing is a full-body workout and therefore a really good sport for your body, especially as it brings cardio and strength training into one sport. You alternate the intense movements with coordinated moments of rest. Your stamina increases very quickly and you train reactivity, condition, strength, agility and balance. As core training, it is the sport of choice because you train and strengthen abdominal muscles in an accelerated manner. Boxing also trains your lower body, especially if you opt for a combination, as in kickboxing.

The shoulders take quite a beating and many boxers also have them treated by a masseur or physiotherapist. The shoulder muscle consists of three heads that can all be trained separately, with the front head developing the fastest in this sport.

FIT Sports Balm is therefore applied to the shoulders by many boxers and praised for its active effect. You benefit anyway when your muscles are more supple and looser before a workout or match.
